Portrait painting, small works on stretched canvas or canvas board

Small artworks on canvas panels have been created for Playing in the Attic's 100 Faces exhibitions, that I have participated in over the last few years. The harder, grainy surface, similar to my watercolor paper works, permits more vigorous experimentation with charcoal pencils, inks, and acrylics. Additionally, it allows for the exploration of oil paint using smaller brushes and pens. References are sourced from family, Pinterest, Sktchy Museum.
